On 08.07.2024: Mr. Kerry Conway, Team Leader- PSCP met with Mr. Md. Fazlul Hoque, Vice -President BTMA in BTMA Gulshan Office, Dhaka. At that time Mr. Farid Uddin, Country Representative, Dawa Dorje, Senior Director and Mr. Sadequl Amin PSCP, Manager, Bangladesh from PRIMARK were accompanied with the PSCP- Team Leader. On the BTMA side, BTMA Directors Mr. Md. Mosharaf Hossain and Engr. Estahak Ahmed Shaikat were present in the meeting.
They discussed about possible collaboration opportunities between BTMA and PRIMARK. The growth of domestic Cotton in Bangladesh and how different stakeholders can engage in its development was the focus of both sides. They also discussed about the avenues of advocacy works with GoB which will incentivize local Cotton market actors to invest more and lead to sectoral growth.
