The National Board of Revenue on 24th November, 2021 honored 141 highest income taxpayers in the national level for the fiscal year of 2020-2021 with tax cards, crests and certificates at a program held at the Officers’ Club in the capital, Dhaka. AHM Mustafa Kamal, MP ,Hon’ble Minister for Ministry of Finance attended the event as Chief Guest. AHM Mustafa Kamal, Hon’ble Finance Minister and Abu Hena M Rahmatul Munim , NBR Chairman handed over the awards to the highest taxpayers at the event.
Of the recipients, 75 received tax cards, crests and certificates in the individual category, 54 in the corporate category and 12 in other categories. The revenue board also recognized 525 taxpayers in two categories — City Corporation and district. Sixty-three highest taxpayers in two city corporations of Dhaka and eight taxpayers in Dhaka Division districts also received the honor at the event.Md. Fayazur Rahman Bhuiyan (Jewel) was honored as the highest taxpayer in Narsingdi district. Md. Fayazur Rahman Bhuiyan (Jewel) is the Chairman & Managing Director of Jaj Bhuiyan Group and Director of BTMA. Jaj Bhuiyan Textile Mills, Jaj Spinning Mills Limited are member mills of BTMA.
Md. Abdullah Zubair, Director, BTMA was honored with awards for Zaber & Zubair Fabrics Limited in the Ready Made Garments Category and for Ismail Anzuman Ara Fabrics Limited in the Spinning & Textile Category. Both Zaber & Zubair Fabrics Limited & Ismail Anzuman Ara Fabrics are member mills of BTMA.Rashidul Hasan Rinto, Director, BTMA was honored with the award under the Young (below 40 years) taxpayers category. Rashidul Hasan Rinto is a young entrepreneur representing Chistia Sizing Mills, Manchester Composite which are member mills of BTMA.
Abdullah Mohammad Talha received the award for Noman Terry Towel Mills Ltd. which is a member mill of BTMA under the Spinning & Textile Category.BTMA would like to give heartiest Congratulations & Greetings to the award recipients on their outstanding achievement and hopes that they will continue to contribute in sustainable economic development of the country.
